Our firm culture promotes helping build our clients’ enterprise value. Many accounting firms prepare financial statements and tax returns, i.e., historical records that tell clients WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN. While we do all of that traditional compliance work as well, we feel that it is much more valuable to tell clients WHERE THEY ARE GOING. Most importantly, preparation of financial projections that integrate a complete set of balance sheets, income statements and statements of cash flows provides a framework that helps clients anticipate and manage their future cash position. These forward-looking financial statements can be compared to available benchmark data to manage future trends in business performance under any number of what-if scenarios. Management of performance expectations is a constant process, and once a projection is set up it becomes relatively easy to roll it forward to future periods.
